Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index Falls Consecutively

The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing today (6) announced the Global Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index for September. The index change shows that the global manufacturing purchasing managers' index declined for four consecutive months, and the global economy will continue to maintain a low growth trend.


The global manufacturing purchasing managers' index was 50.3% in September, down 0.6 percentage points from the previous month and down for the fourth consecutive month-on-month, a new low since July 2020.


By region, in September, Europe and the Americas manufacturing growth continued to slow down, the purchasing managers' index showed a continuous decline, and the Americas manufacturing purchasing managers' index decreased compared with last month; African manufacturing purchasing managers' index fell below 50% again after rising to 50% last month; Asian manufacturing growth was relatively stable, the purchasing managers' index rose slightly compared with last month.
